CVE-2024-8929 3 Php, Php Group, Redhat 3 Php, Php, Enterprise Linux 2025-11-03 5.8 Medium
In PHP versions 8.1.* before 8.1.31, 8.2.* before 8.2.26, 8.3.* before 8.3.14, a hostile MySQL server can cause the client to disclose the content of its heap containing data from other SQL requests and possible other data belonging to different users of the same server.
CVE-2024-5458 3 Fedoraproject, Php, Redhat 3 Fedora, Php, Enterprise Linux 2025-11-03 5.3 Medium
In PHP versions 8.1.* before 8.1.29, 8.2.* before 8.2.20, 8.3.* before 8.3.8, due to a code logic error, filtering functions such as filter_var when validating URLs (FILTER_VALIDATE_URL) for certain types of URLs the function will result in invalid user information (username + password part of URLs) being treated as valid user information. This may lead to the downstream code accepting invalid URLs as valid and parsing them incorrectly.
CVE-2024-53072 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2025-11-03 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: platform/x86/amd/pmc: Detect when STB is not available Loading the amd_pmc module as: amd_pmc enable_stb=1 ...can result in the following messages in the kernel ring buffer: amd_pmc AMDI0009:00: SMU cmd failed. err: 0xff ioremap on RAM at 0x0000000000000000 - 0x0000000000ffffff WARNING: CPU: 10 PID: 2151 at arch/x86/mm/ioremap.c:217 __ioremap_caller+0x2cd/0x340 Further debugging reveals that this occurs when the requests for S2D_PHYS_ADDR_LOW and S2D_PHYS_ADDR_HIGH return a value of 0, indicating that the STB is inaccessible. To prevent the ioremap warning and provide clarity to the user, handle the invalid address and display an error message.
CVE-2024-50218 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-11-03 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ocfs2: pass u64 to ocfs2_truncate_inline maybe overflow Syzbot reported a kernel BUG in ocfs2_truncate_inline. There are two reasons for this: first, the parameter value passed is greater than ocfs2_max_inline_data_with_xattr, second, the start and end parameters of ocfs2_truncate_inline are "unsigned int". So, we need to add a sanity check for byte_start and byte_len right before ocfs2_truncate_inline() in ocfs2_remove_inode_range(), if they are greater than ocfs2_max_inline_data_with_xattr return -EINVAL.
CVE-2024-50199 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2025-11-03 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm/swapfile: skip HugeTLB pages for unuse_vma I got a bad pud error and lost a 1GB HugeTLB when calling swapoff. The problem can be reproduced by the following steps: 1. Allocate an anonymous 1GB HugeTLB and some other anonymous memory. 2. Swapout the above anonymous memory. 3. run swapoff and we will get a bad pud error in kernel message: mm/pgtable-generic.c:42: bad pud 00000000743d215d(84000001400000e7) We can tell that pud_clear_bad is called by pud_none_or_clear_bad in unuse_pud_range() by ftrace. And therefore the HugeTLB pages will never be freed because we lost it from page table. We can skip HugeTLB pages for unuse_vma to fix it.
CVE-2024-50163 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2025-11-03 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Make sure internal and UAPI bpf_redirect flags don't overlap The bpf_redirect_info is shared between the SKB and XDP redirect paths, and the two paths use the same numeric flag values in the ri->flags field (specifically, BPF_F_BROADCAST == BPF_F_NEXTHOP). This means that if skb bpf_redirect_neigh() is used with a non-NULL params argument and, subsequently, an XDP redirect is performed using the same bpf_redirect_info struct, the XDP path will get confused and end up crashing, which syzbot managed to trigger. With the stack-allocated bpf_redirect_info, the structure is no longer shared between the SKB and XDP paths, so the crash doesn't happen anymore. However, different code paths using identically-numbered flag values in the same struct field still seems like a bit of a mess, so this patch cleans that up by moving the flag definitions together and redefining the three flags in BPF_F_REDIRECT_INTERNAL to not overlap with the flags used for XDP. It also adds a BUILD_BUG_ON() check to make sure the overlap is not re-introduced by mistake.
CVE-2024-50072 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-11-03 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: x86/bugs: Use code segment selector for VERW operand Robert Gill reported below #GP in 32-bit mode when dosemu software was executing vm86() system call: general protection fault: 0000 [#1] PREEMPT SMP CPU: 4 PID: 4610 Comm: dosemu.bin Not tainted 6.6.21-gentoo-x86 #1 Hardware name: Dell Inc. This is because segment registers with an arbitrary user value can result in #GP when executing VERW. Intel SDM vol. 2C documents the following behavior for VERW instruction: #GP(0) - If a memory operand effective address is outside the CS, DS, ES, FS, or GS segment limit. CLEAR_CPU_BUFFERS macro executes VERW instruction before returning to user space. Use %cs selector to reference VERW operand. This ensures VERW will not #GP for an arbitrary user %ds. [ mingo: Fixed the SOB chain. ]
CVE-2024-47734 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-11-03 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bonding: Fix unnecessary warnings and logs from bond_xdp_get_xmit_slave() syzbot reported a WARNING in bond_xdp_get_xmit_slave. To reproduce this[1], one bond device (bond1) has xdpdrv, which increases bpf_master_redirect_enabled_key. Another bond device (bond0) which is unsupported by XDP but its slave (veth3) has xdpgeneric that returns XDP_TX. This triggers WARN_ON_ONCE() from the xdp_master_redirect(). To reduce unnecessary warnings and improve log management, we need to delete the WARN_ON_ONCE() and add ratelimit to the netdev_err(). CVE-2024-47671 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-11-03 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: USB: usbtmc: prevent kernel-usb-infoleak The syzbot reported a kernel-usb-infoleak in usbtmc_write, we need to clear the structure before filling fields.
CVE-2024-47175 3 Debian, Openprinting, Redhat 8 Debian Linux, Libppd, Enterprise Linux and 5 more 2025-11-03 8.6 High
CUPS is a standards-based, open-source printing system, and `libppd` can be used for legacy PPD file support. The `libppd` function `ppdCreatePPDFromIPP2` does not sanitize IPP attributes when creating the PPD buffer. When used in combination with other functions such as `cfGetPrinterAttributes5`, can result in user controlled input and ultimately code execution via Foomatic. This vulnerability can be part of an exploit chain leading to remote code execution (RCE), as described in CVE-2024-47176.
CVE-2024-47076 2 Openprinting, Redhat 7 Libcupsfilters, Enterprise Linux, Rhel Aus and 4 more 2025-11-03 8.6 High
CUPS is a standards-based, open-source printing system, and `libcupsfilters` contains the code of the filters of the former `cups-filters` package as library functions to be used for the data format conversion tasks needed in Printer Applications. The `cfGetPrinterAttributes5` function in `libcupsfilters` does not sanitize IPP attributes returned from an IPP server. When these IPP attributes are used, for instance, to generate a PPD file, this can lead to attacker controlled data to be provided to the rest of the CUPS system.
CVE-2024-46794 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-11-03 3.3 Low
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: x86/tdx: Fix data leak in mmio_read() The mmio_read() function makes a TDVMCALL to retrieve MMIO data for an address from the VMM. Sean noticed that mmio_read() unintentionally exposes the value of an initialized variable (val) on the stack to the VMM. This variable is only needed as an output value. It did not need to be passed to the VMM in the first place. Do not send the original value of *val to the VMM. [ dhansen: clarify what 'val' is used for. ]
CVE-2024-45011 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-11-03 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: char: xillybus: Check USB endpoints when probing device Ensure, as the driver probes the device, that all endpoints that the driver may attempt to access exist and are of the correct type. All XillyUSB devices must have a Bulk IN and Bulk OUT endpoint at address 1. This is verified in xillyusb_setup_base_eps(). On top of that, a XillyUSB device may have additional Bulk OUT endpoints. The information about these endpoints' addresses is deduced from a data structure (the IDT) that the driver fetches from the device while probing it. These endpoints are checked in setup_channels(). A XillyUSB device never has more than one IN endpoint, as all data towards the host is multiplexed in this single Bulk IN endpoint. This is why setup_channels() only checks OUT endpoints.

CVE-2024-43876 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-11-03 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: PCI: rcar: Demote WARN() to dev_warn_ratelimited() in rcar_pcie_wakeup() Avoid large backtrace, it is sufficient to warn the user that there has been a link problem. Either the link has failed and the system is in need of maintenance, or the link continues to work and user has been informed. The message from the warning can be looked up in the sources. This makes an actual link issue less verbose. First of all, this controller has a limitation in that the controller driver has to assist the hardware with transition to L1 link state by writing L1IATN to PMCTRL register, the L1 and L0 link state switching is not fully automatic on this controller. In case of an ASMedia ASM1062 PCIe SATA controller which does not support ASPM, on entry to suspend or during platform pm_test, the SATA controller enters D3hot state and the link enters L1 state. If the SATA controller wakes up before rcar_pcie_wakeup() was called and returns to D0, the link returns to L0 before the controller driver even started its transition to L1 link state. At this point, the SATA controller did send an PM_ENTER_L1 DLLP to the PCIe controller and the PCIe controller received it, and the PCIe controller did set PMSR PMEL1RX bit. Once rcar_pcie_wakeup() is called, if the link is already back in L0 state and PMEL1RX bit is set, the controller driver has no way to determine if it should perform the link transition to L1 state, or treat the link as if it is in L0 state. Currently the driver attempts to perform the transition to L1 link state unconditionally, which in this specific case fails with a PMSR L1FAEG poll timeout, however the link still works as it is already back in L0 state. Reduce this warning verbosity. In case the link is really broken, the rcar_pcie_config_access() would fail, otherwise it will succeed and any system with this controller and ASM1062 can suspend without generating a backtrace.
CVE-2024-43868 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-11-03 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: riscv/purgatory: align riscv_kernel_entry When alignment handling is delegated to the kernel, everything must be word-aligned in purgatory, since the trap handler is then set to the kexec one. Without the alignment, hitting the exception would ultimately crash. On other occasions, the kernel's handler would take care of exceptions. This has been tested on a JH7110 SoC with oreboot and its SBI delegating unaligned access exceptions and the kernel configured to handle them.
CVE-2024-43841 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-11-03 3.3 Low
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: virt_wifi: avoid reporting connection success with wrong SSID When user issues a connection with a different SSID than the one virt_wifi has advertised, the __cfg80211_connect_result() will trigger the warning: WARN_ON(bss_not_found). The issue is because the connection code in virt_wifi does not check the SSID from user space (it only checks the BSSID), and virt_wifi will call cfg80211_connect_result() with WLAN_STATUS_SUCCESS even if the SSID is different from the one virt_wifi has advertised. Eventually cfg80211 won't be able to find the cfg80211_bss and generate the warning. Fixed it by checking the SSID (from user space) in the connection code.
CVE-2024-42092 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-11-03 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: gpio: davinci: Validate the obtained number of IRQs Value of pdata->gpio_unbanked is taken from Device Tree. In case of broken DT due to any error this value can be any. Without this value validation there can be out of chips->irqs array boundaries access in davinci_gpio_probe(). Validate the obtained nirq value so that it won't exceed the maximum number of IRQs per bank. Found by Linux Verification Center (linuxtesting.org) with SVACE.
