CVE-2026-12505 1 Redhat 4 Cifs-utils, Enterprise Linux, Openshift and 1 more 2026-08-31 7.8 High
A flaw was found in the cifs-utils package where the cifs.upcall helper fails to securely drop its root privileges before looking up user information inside a user-controlled environment. A local, low privileged attacker can exploit this by using a crafted request_key payload to trick the root-owned helper into entering a custom environment (namespace) containing a malicious NSS module. This forces the system to load the attacker's controlled NSS Module and configuration, allowing them to execute arbitrary commands as the root user, elevating their privileges and fully compromising the system.
CVE-2026-59133 1 Microsoft 3 Microsoft Hpc Pack 2019, Windows App, Windows App Client For Windows Desktop 2026-08-28 8.8 High
Execution with unnecessary privileges in Microsoft High Performance Computing (HPC) Pack allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges over a network.
CVE-2025-13911 2 Inductiveautomation, Microsoft 2 Ignition, Windows 2026-08-28 6.4 Medium
Ignition by Inductive Automation, when installed with default OS service account settings, may expose the host system to an elevated code execution risk via the gateway backup restore functionality. An authenticated user with Gateway Administrator privileges can import a malicious gateway backup (.gwbk) file containing crafted project resources, scripts, or modules, resulting in code execution on the host system. This affects both Windows and Linux installations. On Windows, default installations often run the Ignition service as NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM, resulting in code execution with full local system privileges. On Linux, default installations commonly run the Ignition service as root or with elevated privileges. Specific privilege level depends on installation configuration.
CVE-2026-18982 2 Red Hat, Redhat 2 Red Hat Openshift Ai (rhoai), Openshift Ai 2026-08-27 8.8 High
A flaw was found in the RHOAI training-operator. This vulnerability allows a user with standard edit or admin roles in any Kubernetes namespace to escalate their privileges. Through the creation of training jobs, an attacker can impersonate service accounts, access the host filesystem, and potentially execute arbitrary code remotely. This issue arises from the aggregation of training job permissions onto native Kubernetes edit and admin ClusterRoles, coupled with unrestricted PodTemplateSpec passthrough.
CVE-2026-18608 2 Red Hat, Redhat 2 Red Hat Openshift Ai (rhoai), Openshift Ai 2026-08-27 8.7 High
A flaw was found in the Data Science Pipelines Operator (DSPO). The operator's ClusterRole, which defines its permissions, includes extensive privileges beyond what is necessary for its operation. These excessive permissions, such as the ability to execute commands within pods and manage cluster-wide roles, could be exploited. If the DSPO pod were compromised, an attacker could leverage these privileges to gain full administrative control over the entire Kubernetes cluster.
CVE-2026-71846 1 Redhat 3 Acm, Advanced Cluster Management For Kubernetes, Insights-client 2026-08-27 6.5 Medium
A flaw was found in insights-client. The component's ServiceAccount is bound to a ClusterRole granting cluster-wide secrets get, list, and watch permissions, while the code only requires access to a single specific Secret. This excessive privilege means that a compromise of the insights-client pod or ServiceAccount token would grant an attacker read access to all Secrets across the hub cluster, including managed-cluster kubeconfigs and other sensitive credentials.
CVE-2026-72508 1 Redhat 2 Acm, Advanced Cluster Management For Kubernetes 2026-08-27 9.9 Critical
A flaw was found in the multicloud-operators-subscription component of Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management (RHACM). This vulnerability allows a namespace-admin tenant to perform a confused-deputy attack by creating Subscription Custom Resources (CRs) that leverage a highly privileged ServiceAccount (SA). This enables the tenant to deploy arbitrary cluster-scoped resources, leading to privilege escalation and potential arbitrary code execution across the cluster.
CVE-2026-70496 1 Redhat 2 Acm, Advanced Cluster Management For Kubernetes 2026-08-27 9.9 Critical
A flaw was found in search-v2-operator. The operator's ClusterRole has permissions equivalent to a cluster administrator, allowing it to impersonate other entities, write Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) configurations, approve Certificate Signing Requests (CSRs), and manage ManifestWork. This grants excessive privileges beyond what is necessary for the operator's intended function, potentially leading to privilege escalation within the cluster.
CVE-2025-0416 1 Valmet 1 Dna 2026-08-26 N/A
Local privilege escalation through insecure DCOM configuration in Valmet DNA versions prior to C2023. The DCOM object Valmet DNA Engineering has permissions that allow it to run commands as a user with the SeImpersonatePrivilege privilege. The SeImpersonatePrivilege privilege is a Windows permission that allows a process to impersonate another user. An attacker can use this vulnerability to escalate their privileges and take complete control of the system.
CVE-2026-30512 2026-08-26 7.8 High
A local privilege escalation vulnerability exists in the Restricted Access (Kiosk) Mode implementation of Scheidt & Bachmann entervo HMI prior to V2 R5 P0 M5. The vulnerability affects the external PDF viewer functionality used to display the application manual and its interaction with the underlying Windows operating system. An authenticated low-privileged user can escape the kiosk environment by opening the application manual in the external PDF viewer and abusing the print functionality. Successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary commands outside the kiosk environment with local administrator privileges.
CVE-2026-76018 1 Google 1 Chrome 2026-08-25 8.8 High
Privilege elevation in Import in Google Chrome prior to 151.0.7922.173 allowed a remote attacker leveraging social engineering to potentially execute arbitrary code outside the sandbox via a crafted file. (Chromium security severity: High)
CVE-2026-35244 1 Oracle 1 Hyperion Infrastructure Technology 2026-08-25 5.2 Medium
Vulnerability in the Oracle Hyperion Infrastructure Technology product of Oracle Hyperion (component: Lifecycle Management). The supported version that is affected is 11.2.24.0.000. Easily exploitable vulnerability allows high privileged attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise Oracle Hyperion Infrastructure Technology. Successful attacks require human interaction from a person other than the attacker. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized creation, deletion or modification access to critical data or all Oracle Hyperion Infrastructure Technology accessible data as well as unauthorized read access to a subset of Oracle Hyperion Infrastructure Technology accessible data. CVSS 3.1 Base Score 5.2 (Confidentiality and Integrity impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:H/UI:R/S:U/C:L/I:H/A:N).
CVE-2025-34290 2 Microsoft, Versa-networks 2 Windows, Sase Client 2026-08-25 7.8 High
Versa SASE Client for Windows versions released between 7.8.7 and 7.9.4 contain a local privilege escalation vulnerability in the audit log export functionality. The client communicates user-controlled file paths to a privileged service, which performs file system operations without impersonating the requesting user. Due to improper privilege handling and a time-of-check time-of-use race condition combined with symbolic link and mount point manipulation, a local authenticated attacker can coerce the service into deleting arbitrary directories with SYSTEM privileges. This can be exploited to delete protected system folders such as C:\\Config.msi and subsequently achieve execution as NT AUTHORITY\\SYSTEM via MSI rollback techniques.
CVE-2026-74615 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-25 8.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vxlan: do not arm the ageing timer on a device that is down vxlan_changelink() arms vxlan->age_timer whenever the requested ageing interval differs from the configured one: if (conf.age_interval != vxlan->cfg.age_interval) mod_timer(&vxlan->age_timer, jiffies); There is no netif_running() test, so the timer is armed even on a device that was never brought up. The only synchronous cancel in the driver is the timer_delete_sync() in vxlan_stop(), which is .ndo_stop. netif_close_many() drops devices without IFF_UP before __dev_close_many() runs, so that cancel is skipped for such a device. vxlan_setup() sets dev->needs_free_netdev = true and age_timer is a member of struct vxlan_dev, so free_netdev() releases the allocation the timer lives in while it is still queued on a timer_base. expire_timers() unlinks the entry before it loads timer->function, so the timer core writes through the freed object's list pointers: BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in __run_timers+0x208/0x654 Write of size 8 at addr ffff00001adace68 by task true/192 __asan_store8+0x84/0xac __run_timers+0x208/0x654 run_timer_softirq+0x154/0x18c Allocated by task 189: alloc_netdev_mqs+0x64/0x720 rtnl_create_link+0x4ac/0x520 rtnl_newlink+0x758/0xd00 Freed by task 191: netdev_release+0x40/0x58 netdev_run_todo+0x4a4/0x8c0 rtnl_dellink+0x200/0x4e8 The rtnl operations involved are netns-scoped, so an unprivileged user can perform them in a new user and network namespace. Arming the timer on a down device never had an effect: vxlan_cleanup() returns early on !netif_running(), and vxlan_open() arms the timer for any non-zero interval once the device is brought up. Add the missing test. Discovered by XBOW, triaged by Baul Lee <baul.lee@xbow.com>
CVE-2026-70804 1 Oracle 1 Public Sector Human Resources 2026-08-24 7.7 High

Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized creation, deletion or modification access to critical data or all Oracle Public Sector Human Resources accessible data as well as unauthorized access to critical data or complete access to all Oracle Public Sector Human Resources accessible data. CVSS 3.1 Base Score 7.7 (Confidentiality and Integrity impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:H/UI:N/S:C/C:H/I:H/A:N).
CVE-2026-50737 1 Enterprisedb 1 Pglogical 2026-08-24 7.5 High
When applying replicated changes for a row that is missing one or more columns, pglogical evaluates the affected table's default expressions on the subscriber. Because the apply worker runs at a privilege level equivalent to a PostgreSQL superuser in default installations, any function invoked by such a default expression also runs at that privilege. A party acting as the publisher can use this path to cause functions to be executed on the subscriber as superuser, escalating from a role permitted to use pglogical to full superuser. This is a second, independent path to the same superuser escalation tracked under CVE-2026-50736 (the pglogical queue issue). To exploit the issue an attacker must be able to direct a subscription at an endpoint they control. In default installations this requires privileges normally reserved for a superuser, so the issue is most relevant to managed deployments where the ability to create subscriptions has been delegated to non-superuser roles.
CVE-2026-72041 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-23 9.8 Critical
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: espintcp: use sk_msg_free_partial to fix partial send sk_msg_free_partial() ensures consistency of the skmsg at every iteration, without having to manually handle uncharges and offsets. This simplifies the code, and fixes some bugs in skmsg accounting when we don't send the full contents.
