CVE-2026-14696 1 Zephyrproject 1 Zephyr 2026-08-31 6.5 Medium
When Ethernet bridging is enabled (CONFIG_NET_ETHERNET_BRIDGE), eth_bridge_input_process() in subsys/net/l2/ethernet/bridge/bridge_input.c decides how each frame received on a bridge member interface is handled. For frames that must also be delivered to the local stack, the code called eth_bridge_handle_locally() and returned NET_OK. That helper does not consume the packet — it only calls bridge_iface_recv() (via virtual_recv()), which returns NET_CONTINUE without taking ownership of pkt. The NET_OK verdict then propagates through ethernet_recv() up to processing_data() in subsys/net/ip/net_core.c, where NET_OK is interpreted as "the packet was consumed, do not free it." Because no consumer actually took ownership, the RX net_pkt is never returned to the pool and is leaked. The concretely reproducible leak occurs for frames whose EtherType has no registered L3 handler when CONFIG_NET_ETHERNET_FORWARD_UNRECOGNISED_ETHERTYPE is set (default y when CONFIG_NET_SOCKETS_PACKET is enabled): the fall-through L3 dispatch does not overwrite the NET_OK verdict, so ethernet_recv() returns NET_OK and the buffer is never released. Any device on a bridged L2 segment can emit broadcast/multicast frames carrying an arbitrary EtherType with no authentication. Each such frame permanently consumes one buffer from the finite RX pool (CONFIG_NET_PKT_RX_COUNT), so a brief broadcast flood exhausts the pool and the device can no longer receive traffic until it is rebooted — a persistent denial of service. There is no confidentiality or integrity impact. The fix makes eth_bridge_handle_locally() propagate the real net_verdict and return NET_CONTINUE for locally-kept frames, writing the bridge interface back through a new dst_iface out-parameter so the packet follows the normal receive path and is unreferenced exactly once.
CVE-2026-14697 1 Zephyrproject 1 Zephyr 2026-08-31 6.5 Medium
net_ipv6_send_ns() in subsys/net/ip/ipv6_nbr.c allocates a transmit net_pkt for a Neighbor Solicitation. When it is called with a data packet pending on an unresolved neighbor and that neighbor's pending_queue is already non-empty (an NS is already outstanding), the function appends the data packet and returns early without ever sending the NS via net_send_data() or releasing it with net_pkt_unref(). The freshly allocated NS net_pkt and its attached TX buffers are held only by a local variable and are leaked permanently, never returning to CONFIG_NET_PKT_TX_COUNT / CONFIG_NET_BUF_TX_COUNT. The leaking branch sits on the normal IPv6 transmit path: net_ipv6_prepare_for_send() (called from net_if.c) invokes net_ipv6_send_ns() for any outbound or forwarded IPv6 packet whose next hop is not yet in the neighbor cache. An on-link (adjacent) attacker can drive it deterministically by sending a burst of request packets (for example ICMPv6 echo requests or UDP datagrams) that all spoof a single non-existent on-link source address: the node generates a reply to each, the first reply queues an NS, and every subsequent reply during the roughly three-second INCOMPLETE resolution window takes the leaking branch and loses one TX packet. Router-configured nodes forwarding attacker traffic toward a non-existent on-link host leak identically. Because the leaked packets are never reclaimed and CONFIG_NET_PKT_TX_COUNT defaults to only 4 (14 for Ethernet), a brief low-rate burst exhausts the TX pool. Once exhausted the node can no longer allocate any transmit packet and cannot send TCP/UDP, ARP/ND, or any reply at all, producing a complete and persistent network denial of service that does not self-heal until reboot. The fix releases the unsent NS packet with net_pkt_unref(pkt) before the early return.
CVE-2026-20746 2 Ping Identity, Pingidentity 2 Pingdirectory, Pingdirectory 2026-08-28 N/A
Virtual attribute handling in Ping Identity PingDirectory in affected versions allows only authorized users to exhaust java memory heap when recent login history is enabled and copying virtual attributes that reference ds-privilege-name values.
CVE-2026-80650 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-28 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: atomisp: gc2235: fix UAF and memory leak gc2235_probe() handles its error paths incorrectly. If media_entity_pads_init() fails, gc2235_remove() is called, which tears down the subdev and frees dev, but then still falls through to atomisp_register_i2c_module(). This results in use-after-free. If atomisp_register_i2c_module() fails, the media entity and control handler are left initialized and dev is leaked. gc2235_remove() unconditionally calls media_entity_cleanup() and v4l2_ctrl_handler_free(), but these are not initialized at every error path in gc2235_probe(). Replace gc2235_remove() calls in the probe error paths with explicit unwind labels that free only the resources initialized at each point of failure, in reverse order of initialization.
CVE-2026-38819 1 Opennds 1 Opennds 2026-08-28 5.3 Medium
Multiple memory leaks in openNDS before 11.0.0 allow an unauthenticated attacker on the captive portal network to exhaust all available memory on the device within minutes.
CVE-2026-80625 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-28 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/hns: Fix memory leak of bonding resources In a corner case of concurrent driver removal and driver reset, bonding resource is first released in hns_roce_hw_v2_exit() during driver removal, and then is allocated again in hns_roce_register_device() during driver reset. This leads to memory leak because the release timing has already passed. This may also lead to a kernel panic as below because of the leaked notifier callback: Call trace: 0xffffa20fccc04978 (P) raw_notifier_call_chain+0x20/0x38 call_netdevice_notifiers_info+0x60/0xb8 netdev_lower_state_changed+0x4c/0xb8 As Sashiko suggested, the teardown order of bonding resources should be inverted to make sure the resources are released when the driver is removed.
CVE-2026-47888 1 Spring 1 Spring Framework 2026-08-27 7.5 High
A Spring RSocket application is exposed to a memory leak via a malformed SETUP frame. Spring Framework 7.0.0 - 7.0.8 Spring Framework 6.2.0 - 6.2.19 Spring Framework 6.1.0 - 6.1.28 Spring Framework 6.0.0 - 6.0.30 Spring Framework 5.3.0 - 5.3.49 Spring Framework 5.2.0.RELEASE - 5.2.25.RELEASE
CVE-2026-1605 1 Eclipse 1 Jetty 2026-08-27 7.5 High
In Eclipse Jetty, versions 12.0.0-12.0.31 and 12.1.0-12.0.5, class GzipHandler exposes a vulnerability when a compressed HTTP request, with Content-Encoding: gzip, is processed and the corresponding response is not compressed. This happens because the JDK Inflater is allocated for decompressing the request, but it is not released because the release mechanism is tied to the compressed response. In this case, since the response is not compressed, the release mechanism does not trigger, causing the leak.
CVE-2026-80555 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-27 7.1 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: s390/vfio_ccw: Free all memory if cp_init() fails The routine cp_free() is called to unpin/free any memory once an I/O is completed successfully, or if cp_prefetch() fails. But if cp_init() fails, and cp->initialized is not enabled, the same routine cannot be used to free all the memory. An attempt to address this exists in ccwchain_handle_ccw(), where a single call to ccwchain_free() is made for the currently-processed CCW segment. But this will leak other segments (created as a result of a Transfer in Channel) that had been allocated as part of the same channel program. Address this by performing the cleanup outside of the recursive ccwchain_handle_ccw()/ccwchain_loop_tic() logic.
CVE-2021-47644 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-26 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: staging: media: zoran: move videodev alloc Move some code out of zr36057_init() and create new functions for handling zr->video_dev. This permit to ease code reading and fix a zr->video_dev memory leak.
CVE-2026-12999 1 Zephyrproject 1 Zephyr 2026-08-25 5.3 Medium
The Infineon Airoc Wi-Fi driver's transmit callback airoc_mgmt_send() in drivers/wifi/infineon/airoc_wifi.c allocates a net_buf from the fixed airoc_pool for every outbound packet. When whd_network_send_ethernet_data() returns a synchronous failure, the underlying WHD library does not take ownership of the buffer, but the pre-fix driver returned -EIO without releasing it. Each failed transmit therefore permanently leaks one buffer from the pool. airoc_pool is small and fixed (AIROC_WIFI_TX_PACKET_POOL_COUNT + AIROC_WIFI_RX_PACKET_POOL_COUNT, default 20 buffers) and is shared by WHD's whd_host_buffer_get callback for both transmit and receive. Once enough send failures have leaked the pool dry, airoc_wifi_host_buffer_get() returns WHD_BUFFER_ALLOC_FAIL for all subsequent allocations, so both transmit and the WHD-driven receive path fail and Wi-Fi connectivity is lost until the device is rebooted. The leak occurs only on the transmit error path. A Wi-Fi-adjacent attacker can influence the conditions that cause synchronous send failures (for example by deauthenticating/disassociating the station while the local stack continues to attempt transmits), and ordinary transient failures over the device's lifetime accumulate toward the same state. Reliable on-demand triggering is of high complexity and the impact is availability-only, but the resulting denial of service is permanent and non-recoverable without a reboot. The fix releases the buffer with airoc_wifi_buffer_release() on the failure branch, returning it to the pool. The commit also removes a redundant k_sem_give() in airoc_mgmt_disconnect(); because data->sema_common is a binary semaphore (limit 1) the duplicate give merely saturated at 1 and had no security impact.
CVE-2026-79771 2 Nokogiri, Sparklemotion 2 Nokogiri, Nokogiri 2026-08-25 5.3 Medium
Nokogiri versions before 1.19.3 contain a memory leak in the XSLT Stylesheet transform method when processing Ruby strings containing null bytes. Attackers can exploit this by passing attacker-controlled input with null bytes to transform parameters, causing heap allocations to leak and enabling denial of service against long-running processes.
CVE-2020-13934 7 Apache, Canonical, Debian and 4 more 17 Tomcat, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 14 more 2026-08-25 7.5 High
An h2c direct connection to Apache Tomcat 10.0.0-M1 to 10.0.0-M6, 9.0.0.M5 to 9.0.36 and 8.5.1 to 8.5.56 did not release the HTTP/1.1 processor after the upgrade to HTTP/2. If a sufficient number of such requests were made, an OutOfMemoryException could occur leading to a denial of service.
CVE-2026-76235 1 Redhat 3 Enterprise Linux, Openshift Dev Spaces, Openshift Devspaces 2026-08-25 7.5 High
A memory leak flaw was found in cockpit-ws. The login page handler leaks a heap allocation on every unauthenticated request that carries a CockpitLang cookie, allowing a remote unauthenticated attacker to exhaust memory on the host and cause a denial of service.
CVE-2026-72040 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-23 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipmi: fix refcount leak in i_ipmi_request() When a caller provides a `supplied_recv` message to i_ipmi_request(), the function increments the user's `nr_msgs` reference count. If an error occurs later, the out_err cleanup path only frees the recv_msg if the function allocated it itself (i.e., !supplied_recv). In the supplied_recv case the cleanup is skipped, leaving the reference count elevated. The caller ipmi_request_supply_msgs() does not release the supplied_recv on error, so the reference is permanently leaked. Fix this by explicitly reverting the reference count operations when a supplied recv_msg with a valid user pointer is present in the error path: decrement nr_msgs and drop the user's kref.
CVE-2026-64139 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-23 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ksmbd: fix SID memory leak in set_posix_acl_entries_dacl() on overflow Commit 299f962c0b02 ("ksmbd: use check_add_overflow() to prevent u16 DACL size overflow") added check_add_overflow() guards that break out of the ACE-building loops in set_posix_acl_entries_dacl() when the accumulated DACL size would wrap past 65535. However, each iteration allocates a struct smb_sid via kmalloc_obj() at the top of the loop and relies on the kfree(sid) call at the end of the loop body (the 'pass_same_sid' label in the first loop, and the explicit kfree at the tail of the second loop) to release it. The newly introduced 'break' statements bypass those kfree() calls, leaking the sid buffer every time an overflow is detected. A malicious or malformed file with enough POSIX ACL entries to trip the overflow check will leak one or more struct smb_sid allocations on every request that touches the file's DACL, providing a trivial kernel memory exhaustion vector. Free sid before breaking out of the loops to plug the leak.
CVE-2025-23160 2 Debian, Linux 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-08-23 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: mediatek: vcodec: Fix a resource leak related to the scp device in FW initialization On Mediatek devices with a system companion processor (SCP) the mtk_scp structure has to be removed explicitly to avoid a resource leak. Free the structure in case the allocation of the firmware structure fails during the firmware initialization.
CVE-2026-74718 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-22 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: devlink: fix net namespace reference leak in reload devlink_nl_reload_doit() calls devlink_netns_get(), which returns a net with a held reference. When the requested namespace differs from the current one and the reload action is not DRIVER_REINIT, the function returns -EOPNOTSUPP without releasing the reference. Add the missing put_net() on this error path.
CVE-2026-71675 1 Open5gs 1 Open5gs 2026-08-21 7.5 High
An issue in Open5GS v.2.7.0 allows a remote attacker to cause a denial of service via the ngap_send_to_nas() function in src/amf/ngap-path.c
CVE-2026-52734 1 Zcashfoundation 1 Zebra 2026-08-19 5.3 Medium
ZEBRA is a Zcash node written entirely in Rust. Prior to 4.5.0, an unauthenticated P2P peer can cause the mempool download pipeline to retain transactions after verification reaches the outer RATE_LIMIT_DELAY timeout. In zebrad/src/components/mempool/downloads.rs, Downloads::poll_next removed cancel_handles entries after success and ordinary verification errors, but tokio::time::error::Elapsed did not carry the UnminedTxId needed to remove the timed-out entry. Each retained cancel_handles entry could hold a full Gossip::Tx(UnminedTx), while normal mined-transaction cleanup could not match attacker transactions and no periodic garbage collection or count cap existed. Sustained traffic therefore caused monotonic memory growth until swap pressure degraded the node or the operating system terminated the zebrad process for exhausting memory. This issue is fixed in version 4.5.0.
