CVSS v3.1 |
A remote code execution vulnerability exists in the way affected Microsoft scripting engines render when handling objects in memory in Microsoft browsers. These vulnerabilities could corrupt memory in such a way that an attacker could execute arbitrary code in the context of the current user. An attacker who successfully exploited the vulnerability could gain the same user rights as the current user. If the current user is logged on with administrative user rights, an attacker who successfully exploited the vulnerability could take control of an affected system. An attacker could then install programs; view, change, or delete data; or create new accounts with full user rights. This vulnerability is different from those described in CVE-2017-0010, CVE-2017-0015, CVE-2017-0032, CVE-2017-0067, CVE-2017-0070, CVE-2017-0071, CVE-2017-0094, CVE-2017-0131, CVE-2017-0132, CVE-2017-0133, CVE-2017-0134, CVE-2017-0136, CVE-2017-0137, CVE-2017-0138, CVE-2017-0141, CVE-2017-0150, and CVE-2017-0151.
A remote code execution vulnerability in Mediaserver could enable an attacker using a specially crafted file to cause memory corruption during media file and data processing. This issue is rated as Critical due to the possibility of remote code execution within the context of the Mediaserver process. Product: Android. Versions: 6.0, 6.0.1, 7.0, 7.1.1. Android ID: A-33982658.
GNU linker (ld) in GNU Binutils 2.28 is vulnerable to a heap-based buffer overflow while processing a bogus input script, leading to a program crash. This relates to lack of '\0' termination of a name field in ldlex.l.
An issue was discovered in ImageMagick 6.9.7. A specially crafted sun file triggers a heap-based buffer over-read.
V8 in Google Chrome prior to 54.0.2840.98 for Mac, and 54.0.2840.99 for Windows, and 54.0.2840.100 for Linux, and 55.0.2883.84 for Android incorrectly applied type rules, which allowed a remote attacker to potentially exploit heap corruption via a crafted HTML page.
Buffer overflow in the HTTP URL parsing functions in pecl_http before 3.0.1 might allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via non-printable characters in a URL.
The TIFFReadRawStrip1 and TIFFReadRawTile1 functions in tif_read.c in libtiff before 4.0.7 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) or possibly obtain sensitive information via a negative index in a file-content buffer.
RubyGems version 2.6.12 and earlier is vulnerable to maliciously crafted gem specifications to cause a denial of service attack against RubyGems clients who have issued a `query` command.
The wrap_lines_smart function in ass_render.c in libass before 0.13.4 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (out-of-bounds read) via unspecified vectors, related to "0/3 line wrapping equalization."
An issue was discovered in Siemens ETA4 firmware (all versions prior to Revision 08) of the SM-2558 extension module for: SICAM AK, SICAM TM 1703, SICAM BC 1703, and SICAM AK 3. Specially crafted packets sent to Port 2404/TCP could cause the affected device to go into defect mode. A cold start might be required to recover the system, a Denial-of-Service Vulnerability.
The GeoNetworking parser in tcpdump before 4.9.0 has a buffer overflow in print-geonet.c, multiple functions.
The "process-execute" and "process-spawn" procedures in CHICKEN Scheme used fixed-size buffers for holding the arguments and environment variables to use in its execve() call. This would allow user-supplied argument/environment variable lists to trigger a buffer overrun. This affects all releases of CHICKEN up to and including 4.11 (it will be fixed in 4.12 and 5.0, which are not yet released).
An elevation of privilege vulnerability in the Qualcomm Wi-Fi driver could enable a local malicious application to execute arbitrary code within the context of the kernel. This issue is rated as High because it first requires compromising a privileged process. Product: Android. Versions: Kernel-3.10, Kernel-3.18. Android ID: A-32872662. References: QC-CR#1095009.
Buffer overflow in the PixarLogDecode function in libtiff.so in the PixarLogDecode function in libtiff 4.0.6 and earlier, as used in GNOME nautilus, allows attackers to cause a denial of service attack (crash) via a crafted TIFF file.
The TFTP parser in tcpdump before 4.9.0 has a buffer overflow in print-tftp.c:tftp_print().
When asking to get a file from a file:// URL, libcurl provides a feature that outputs meta-data about the file using HTTP-like headers. The code doing this would send the wrong buffer to the user (stdout or the application's provide callback), which could lead to other private data from the heap to get inadvertently displayed. The wrong buffer was an uninitialized memory area allocated on the heap and if it turned out to not contain any zero byte, it would continue and display the data following that buffer in memory.
While parsing an IPAddressFamily extension in an X.509 certificate, it is possible to do a one-byte overread. This would result in an incorrect text display of the certificate. This bug has been present since 2006 and is present in all versions of OpenSSL before 1.0.2m and 1.1.0g.
Android ID: A-33818500.
The CALM FAST parser in tcpdump before 4.9.0 has a buffer overflow in print-calm-fast.c:calm_fast_print().
Heap-based buffer overflow in the DHCP client (udhcpc) in BusyBox before 1.25.0 allows remote attackers to have unspecified impact via vectors involving OPTION_6RD parsing.
