CVSS v3.1 |
| A flaw in Node.js's permission model allows Unix Domain Socket (UDS) connections to bypass network restrictions when `--permission` is enabled. Even without `--allow-net`, attacker-controlled inputs (such as URLs or socketPath options) can connect to arbitrary local sockets via net, tls, or undici/fetch. This breaks the intended security boundary of the permission model and enables access to privileged local services, potentially leading to privilege escalation, data exposure, or local code execution.
* The issue affects users of the Node.js permission model on version v25.
In the moment of this vulnerability, network permissions (`--allow-net`) are still in the experimental phase. |
| Sun PC NetLink 1.0 through 1.2 does not properly set the access control list (ACL) for files and directories that use symbolic links and have been restored from backup, which could allow local or remote attackers to bypass intended access restrictions. |
| The (1) Kate and (2) Kwrite applications in KDE KDE 3.2.x through 3.4.0 do not properly set the same permissions on the backup file as were set on the original file, which could allow local users and possibly remote attackers to obtain sensitive information. |
| Macintosh clients, when using NT file system volumes on Windows 2000 SP1, create subdirectories and automatically modify the inherited NTFS permissions, which may cause the directories to have less restrictive permissions than intended. |
| sash before 3.4-4 in Debian GNU/Linux does not properly clone /etc/shadow, which makes it world-readable and could allow local users to gain privileges via password cracking. |
| An Escalation of Privilege security vulnerability was found in SecureAge Security Suite software 7.0.x before 7.0.38, 7.1.x before 7.1.11, 8.0.x before 8.0.18, and 8.1.x before 8.1.18 that allows arbitrary file creation, modification and deletion. |
| When installing Nessus Agent to a directory outside of the default location on a Windows host, Nessus Agent versions prior to 10.6.4 did not enforce secure permissions for sub-directories. This could allow for local privilege escalation if users had not secured the directories in the non-default installation location. |
| An improper access control issue in the VQL shell feature in Velociraptor Versions < 0.73.4 allowed authenticated users to execute the execve() plugin in deployments where this was explicitly forbidden by configuring the prevent_execve flag in the configuration file. This setting is not usually recommended and is uncommonly used, so this issue will only affect users who do set it. This issue is fixed in release 0.73.4. |
| Improper Preservation of Permissions vulnerability in Salesforce OmniStudio (FlexCards) allows exposure of Custom Settings data.
This impacts OmniStudio: before version 254. |
| lakeFS is an open-source tool that transforms object storage into a Git-like repository. Existing lakeFS users who have issued credentials to users who have been deleted are affected by this vulnerability. When creating a new user with the same username as a deleted user, that user will inherit all of the previous user's credentials. This issue has been addressed in release version 1.33.0 and all users are advised to upgrade. The only known workaround for those who cannot upgrade is to not reuse usernames. |
| In Matter (aka connectedhomeip or Project CHIP) through 1.4.0.0, the WriteAcl function deletes all existing ACL entries first, and then attempts to recreate them based on user input. If input validation fails during decoding, the process stops, and no entries are restored by access-control-server.cpp, i.e., a denial of service. |
| Improper Preservation of Permissions vulnerability in Salesforce OmniStudio (DataMapper) allows exposure of encrypted data.
This impacts OmniStudio: before Spring 2025 |
| Incorrect Access Control in Cfx.re FXServer v9601 and earlier allows unauthenticated users to modify and read arbitrary user data via exposed API endpoint |
| Improper Preservation of Permissions vulnerability in Salesforce OmniStudio (FlexCards) allows exposure of encrypted data.
This impacts OmniStudio: before Spring 2025. |
| Improper Preservation of Permissions vulnerability in Salesforce OmniStudio (FlexCards) allows bypass of field level security controls for Salesforce objects.
This impacts OmniStudio: before Spring 2025 |
| The com.callassistant.android (aka AI Call Assistant & Screener) application 1.174 for Android enables any installed application (with no permissions) to place phone calls without user interaction by sending a crafted intent via the com.callassistant.android.ui.call.incall.InCallActivity component. |
| Wagtail is an open source content management system built on Django. In affected versions if a model has been made available for editing through the `wagtail.contrib.settings` module or `ModelViewSet`, and the `permission` argument on `FieldPanel` has been used to further restrict access to one or more fields of the model, a user with edit permission over the model but not the specific field can craft an HTTP POST request that bypasses the permission check on the individual field, allowing them to update its value. This vulnerability is not exploitable by an ordinary site visitor without access to the Wagtail admin, or by a user who has not been granted edit access to the model in question. The editing interfaces for pages and snippets are also unaffected. Patched versions have been released as Wagtail 6.0.3 and 6.1. Wagtail releases prior to 6.0 are unaffected. Users are advised to upgrade. Site owners who are unable to upgrade to a patched version can avoid the vulnerability as follows: 1.For models registered through `ModelViewSet`, register the model as a snippet instead; 2. For settings models, place the restricted fields in a separate settings model, and configure permission at the model level. |
| Certain Teradata account-handling code through 2024-11-04, used with SUSE Enterprise Linux Server, mismanages groups. Specifically, when there is an operating system move from SUSE Enterprise Linux Server (SLES) 12 Service Pack (SP) 2 or 3 to SLES 15 SP2 on Teradata Database systems, some service/system user accounts, and possibly systems administrator created user accounts, are incorrectly assigned to groups that allow higher system-level privileges than intended for those user accounts. Depending on the usage of these accounts, this may lead to full system compromise. |
| When installing Nessus to a directory outside of the default location on a Windows host, Nessus versions prior to 10.7.3 did not enforce secure permissions for sub-directories. This could allow for local privilege escalation if users had not secured the directories in the non-default installation location. |
| An issue in dtp.ae tNexus Airport View v.2.8 allows a remote attacker to escalate privileges via the ProfileID value to the [/tnexus/rest/admin/updateUser] API endpoint |
