CVSS v3.1 |
| Multiple flaws have been identified in `named` related to the handling of DNS messages whose CLASS is not Internet (`IN`) — for example, `CHAOS` or `HESIOD`, or DNS messages that specify meta-classes (`ANY` or `NONE`) in the question section. Specially crafted requests reaching the affected code paths — recursion, dynamic updates (`UPDATE`), zone change notifications (`NOTIFY`), or processing of `IN`-specific record types in non-`IN` data — can cause assertion failures in `named`.
This issue affects BIND 9 versions 9.11.0 through 9.16.50, 9.18.0 through 9.18.48, 9.20.0 through 9.20.22, 9.21.0 through 9.21.21, 9.11.3-S1 through 9.16.50-S1, 9.18.11-S1 through 9.18.48-S1, and 9.20.9-S1 through 9.20.22-S1. |
| Insufficient Session Expiration vulnerability in Apache Tomcat meant that if the session ID for an authenticated HTTP session was changed after a WebSocket connection had been established under that authenticated HTTP session, the WebSokcet session would not be closed as required by the Jakarta WebSocket specification when the HTTP session ended.
This issue affects Apache Tomcat: from 11.0.0-M1 through 11.0.24, from 10.1.0-M1 through 10.1.57, from 9.0.0.M1 through 9.0.120.
The following versions were EOL at the time the CVE was created but are
known to be affected: from 8.5.0 through 8.5.100, from 7.0.43 through 7.0.109. Other unsupported versions may also be affected.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 11.0.25, 10.1.58 or 9.0.121, which fix the issue. |
| Git for Windows is the Windows port of Git. Prior to 2.55.0.windows.4, a malicious remote Git server can advertise a bundle URI that reaches transport_get_remote_bundle_uri(), fetch_bundle_uri_internal(), and copy_uri_to_file() in bundle-uri.c during clone or fetch when transfer.bundleuri=true. Non-HTTP(S) values are treated as local filesystem paths, and file URI prefixes are removed, so a bare UNC path or file URI targeting an attacker-controlled share causes Windows to initiate an outbound SMB connection. This can expose NTLM authentication material to the attacker-selected host. This issue is fixed in version 2.55.0.windows.4. |
| Incus is a system container and virtual machine manager. Prior to version 7.2.0, the `record-output` parameter of the `/instances/$name/exec` endpoint stores the output of the command in the `exec-output` directory of the instance. If `exec-output` is a symlink, file named `exec_UUID.stdout` and `exec_UUID.stderr` can be written to an arbitrary location where the `.stdout` file will contain arbitrary content. This behavior can be abused for arbitrary command execution. Version 7.2.0 contains a patch. |
| Any remote client can crash a (debugging/non-release build type) NSD serve child by sending it a special crafted message with a specially tuned number of DNS Cookie options (17 when UDP payload size is 512). By continuously crashing the serve childs, the remote client can severely hamper or, when positioned sufficiently close, deny all DNS service. |
| A reachable assertion was addressed with improved input validation. This issue is fixed in iOS 18.7.10 and iPadOS 18.7.10, iOS 26.5 and iPadOS 26.5, macOS Tahoe 26.5, visionOS 26.5, watchOS 26.5. An attacker in a privileged network position may be able to cause a denial-of-service. |
| Insufficient Session Expiration vulnerability in the OAuth token refresh grant in hexpm hexpm allows a user removed from an organization to keep reading its private packages.
expand_repositories_scope/3 in lib/hexpm/permissions.ex only rewrites the literal repositories scope, so an explicitly granted repository:<org> or docs:<org> scope passes through it untouched. The refresh grant re-derives a new token from the stored granted_scopes, which holds that expanded form, so every refresh reproduces the organization scope without revisiting membership. Because both CDN edges authorize repository access from the token claim without querying the database, an account removed from an organization retains read access for as long as it keeps refreshing, bounded by the 30 day refresh token lifetime rather than the 30 minute access token lifetime.
This issue affects hex.pm: from 2025-10-10 before 2026-08-24. |
| Ech0 before 4.7.3 fails to properly revoke access tokens created with never-expire option, allowing attackers to maintain perpetual authenticated access after token theft. Three independent revocation mechanisms fail: logout panics on nil ExpiresAt field, RevokeToken skips when remainTTL is zero, and admin delete does not blacklist the JTI, leaving stolen tokens cryptographically valid until JWT secret rotation. |
| Runtipi is a personal homeserver orchestrator. In 4.10.0 and earlier, Runtipi accepts symbolic links from an attacker-controlled backup archive and copies them into live application paths during the backup restore flow. An authenticated attacker can plant user-config/app.env as a symlink to an arbitrary reachable path and then send PUT /api/user-config/demoapp3:_user with attacker-controlled appEnv content. FilesystemService.writeTextFile() follows the planted link, allowing content to be written outside the intended restore and user-config directory boundary with Runtipi process permissions. This issue is fixed in version 4.10.1. |
| A flaw was found in FasterXML Jackson Databind, where it did not have entity expansion secured properly. This flaw allows vulnerability to XML external entity (XXE) attacks. The highest threat from this vulnerability is data integrity. |
| dom4j before 2.0.3 and 2.1.x before 2.1.3 allows external DTDs and External Entities by default, which might enable XXE attacks. However, there is popular external documentation from OWASP showing how to enable the safe, non-default behavior in any application that uses dom4j. |
| OpenEXR is the reference implementation and specification for the EXR image format, widely used in the motion picture industry. In versions 3.4.0 through 3.4.12, a reachable assertion failure in the HTJ2K decode path allows a crafted HTJ2K-compressed EXR file to cause an unconditional process abort in any application that calls exr_start_read() on untrusted input, resulting in denial of service. The crash is triggered by a QCD marker whose lower five bits are zero, which OpenEXR passes into the vendored OpenJPH library while constructing the codestream and evaluating its quantization delta parameters. OpenJPH uses an assertion rather than a recoverable error to validate those bits, so any invalid value calls abort() directly and cannot be intercepted by surrounding error handling, a problem compounded by OpenEXR wrapping only its internal HT header parser in error handling while leaving the later codestream read and construction calls unprotected. This issue has been resolved in version 3.4.13. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ovl: don't warn when the mount is completed from another user namespace
fsopen() records the caller's user namespace in fc->user_ns and hands
back an ordinary file descriptor. Nothing ties the task that calls
fsconfig(FSCONFIG_CMD_CREATE) to the task that created the context. The
fd is inherited across fork() and exec() and it can be passed over a
unix socket.
Completing a context from another user namespace is allowed on purpose.
vfs_cmd_create() authorizes the create with mount_capable(), which for
FS_USERNS_MOUNT checks ns_capable(fc->user_ns, CAP_SYS_ADMIN), and that
succeeds for a task holding CAP_SYS_ADMIN in an ancestor of fc->user_ns.
So an unprivileged task can reach the WARN_ON() in ovl_fill_super():
create a user and a mount namespace in a child, call fsopen("overlay")
there, send the fscontext fd to the parent and let the parent issue
FSCONFIG_CMD_CREATE. Both namespaces come from a plain unshare(1) and no
capability is needed anywhere:
WARNING: fs/overlayfs/super.c:1551 at ovl_fill_super+0x7b9/0x1e20 [overlay]

__do_sys_fsconfig+0x4b2/0x500
The child needs the mount namespace because fsopen() itself gates on
may_mount(), which asks for CAP_SYS_ADMIN in the user namespace owning
the caller's mount namespace. fsconfig() doesn't repeat that check.
It is a WARN_ON() and not a WARN_ON_ONCE(), so the condition can be
raised in a loop to taint the kernel and flood the log, and it panics a
kernel booted with panic_on_warn.
Keep refusing the mount and stop warning about it. ovl_parse_param()
already spells a user namespace check this way for Opt_override_creds. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
accel/amdxdna: Fix locally exploitable BUG_ON in amdxdna_insert_pages()
In amdxdna_insert_pages(), vm_flags_mod() sets VM_MIXEDMAP and clears
VM_PFNMAP. If an unprivileged userspace process mmaps a non-imported GEM
object and then calls madvise(MADV_DONTNEED), the PTEs will be
successfully cleared because VM_MIXEDMAP allows this (unlike VM_PFNMAP).
When userspace subsequently accesses the memory, drm_gem_shmem_fault()
handles the page fault and attempts to map the backing shmem page via
vmf_insert_pfn() which calls vmf_insert_pfn_prot(). Because the backing
shmem page is normal system memory (pfn_valid(pfn) is true) and the VMA
now has VM_MIXEDMAP set, won't this predictably trigger the explicit
assertion BUG_ON((vma->vm_flags & VM_MIXEDMAP) && pfn_valid(pfn))
Fix by removing the vm_flags_mod() call and replacing the vm_insert_pages()
pre-population with the handle_mm_fault() loop that was already used for
the import (dma-buf) path. |

binfmt_misc: don't warn when the mount is completed from another user namespace

everything from sb->s_user_ns. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net/sched: sch_cake: drop WARN_ON(1) for malformed packets in ACK filter
The sch_cake ACK filter parses packets to find the TCP header and filter
duplicated ACKs if the flow is backlogged. The parsing code contains a
WARN_ON(1) which can be triggered by a malformed IP header in certain
cases. Depending on the system configuration, this leads either to
either spamming dmesg with warnings, or a panic if panic_on_warn is set.
The code already correctly skips the offending packet in the branch that
triggers the warning, so the WARN_ON itself doesn't really serve any
purpose. So just drop it altogether to avoid the inconvenient side
effects. |
| A flaw was found in Apicurio Registry. The ContentTypeUtil.isParsableXml() method creates a SAXParserFactory without enabling secure processing features or disabling external entity resolution. An attacker with artifact-write permission (or unauthenticated when the registry runs with default configuration) can upload a crafted XML document to trigger blind server-side request forgery (SSRF) via external DTD/entity fetch, or cause denial of service via entity expansion. |
| vLLM is an inference and serving engine for large language models (LLMs). Prior to 0.22.0, an assert-based security check in vLLM's activation function loading allows any unauthenticated attacker to achieve arbitrary code execution on the server by publishing a malicious HuggingFace model, when vLLM runs in Python optimized mode (python -O or PYTHONOPTIMIZE=1). This vulnerability is fixed in 0.22.0. |
| A flaw has been found in Open5GS up to 2.8.0. This affects an unknown function of the file src/hss/hss-cx-path.c of the component HSS. This manipulation of the argument User-Name causes reachable assertion. The attack is possible to be carried out remotely. The exploit has been published and may be used. Patch name: c9abe09421eb99bbf1cd7862a3d375e58a4eb9e4. It is recommended to apply a patch to fix this issue. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net/sched: act_ct: preserve tc_skb_cb across defragmentation
tcf_ct_handle_fragments() calls nf_ct_handle_fragments() without saving
and restoring skb->cb. The defrag helper clears IPCB/IP6CB, which aliases
the tc_skb_cb/qdisc_skb_cb control buffer. Fragmented traffic through
act_ct therefore loses qdisc metadata such as pkt_segs and can trigger
WARN_ON_ONCE() in qdisc_pkt_segs() when panic_on_warn is enabled.
Save and restore the full tc_skb_cb around nf_ct_handle_fragments(),
matching the pattern used by ovs_ct_handle_fragments(). |
