CVSS v3.1 |
There is a heap-based buffer overflow in basicio.cpp of Exiv2 0.26. The vulnerability causes an out-of-bounds write in Exiv2::Image::printIFDStructure(), which may lead to remote denial of service or possibly unspecified other impact.
An invalid write access was discovered in bin/jp2/convert.c in OpenJPEG 2.2.0, triggering a crash in the tgatoimage function. The vulnerability may lead to remote denial of service or possibly unspecified other impact.
A stack-based buffer overflow was discovered in the pgxtoimage function in bin/jp2/convert.c in OpenJPEG 2.2.0. The vulnerability causes an out-of-bounds write, which may lead to remote denial of service or possibly remote code execution.
This vulnerability allows local attackers to escalate privileges on Jungo WinDriver 12.4.0 and earlier. An attacker must first obtain the ability to execute low-privileged code on the target system in order to exploit this vulnerability. The specific flaw exists within the processing of IOCTL 0x953824a7 by the windrvr1240 kernel driver. The issue lies in the failure to properly validate user-supplied data which can result in an out-of-bounds write condition. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code under the context of kernel.
A buffer overflow was discovered in III_dequantize_sample in layer3.c in mpglibDBL, as used in MP3Gain version 1.5.2. The vulnerability causes an out-of-bounds write, which leads to remote denial of service or possibly code execution.
A stack-based buffer overflow was discovered in copy_mp in interface.c in mpglibDBL, as used in MP3Gain version 1.5.2. The vulnerability causes an out-of-bounds write, which leads to remote denial of service or possibly code execution.
An invalid memory write was discovered in copy_mp in interface.c in mpglibDBL, as used in MP3Gain version 1.5.2. The vulnerability causes a denial of service (segmentation fault and application crash) or possibly unspecified other impact.
The iscsi_if_rx function in drivers/scsi/scsi_transport_iscsi.c in the Linux kernel through 4.13.2 allows local users to cause a denial of service (panic) by leveraging incorrect length validation.
The mode4and5 write functions in hw/display/cirrus_vga.c in Qemu allow local OS guest privileged users to cause a denial of service (out-of-bounds write access and Qemu process crash) via vectors related to dst calculation.
In CPUID CPU-Z before 1.43, there is an arbitrary memory write that results directly in elevation of privileges, because any program running on the local machine (while CPU-Z is running) can issue an ioctl 0x9C402430 call to the kernel-mode driver (e.g., cpuz141_x64.sys for version 1.41).
Stack-based buffer overflow in the _nc_write_entry function in tinfo/write_entry.c in ncurses 6.0 allows attackers to cause a denial of service (application crash) or possibly execute arbitrary code via a crafted terminfo file, as demonstrated by tic.
kernel/bpf/verifier.c in the Linux kernel through 4.14.8 allows local users to cause a denial of service (memory corruption) or possibly have unspecified other impact by leveraging register truncation mishandling.
In GIMP 2.8.22, there is a heap-based buffer overflow in the fli_read_brun function in plug-ins/file-fli/fli.c.
In GIMP 2.8.22, there is a heap-based buffer overflow in read_channel_data in plug-ins/common/file-psp.c.
Adobe Flash Player versions 26.0.0.131 and earlier have an exploitable memory corruption vulnerability in the Action Script 3 raster data model. Successful exploitation could lead to arbitrary code execution.
Adobe Flash Player versions 26.0.0.131 and earlier have an exploitable memory corruption vulnerability in the Action Script 2 BitmapData class. Successful exploitation could lead to memory address disclosure.
OpenSSL 1.0.2 (starting from version 1.0.2b) introduced an "error state" mechanism. The intent was that if a fatal error occurred during a handshake then OpenSSL would move into the error state and would immediately fail if you attempted to continue the handshake. This works as designed for the explicit handshake functions (SSL_do_handshake(), SSL_accept() and SSL_connect()), however due to a bug it does not work correctly if SSL_read() or SSL_write() is called directly. In that scenario, if the handshake fails then a fatal error will be returned in the initial function call. If SSL_read()/SSL_write() is subsequently called by the application for the same SSL object then it will succeed and the data is passed without being decrypted/encrypted directly from the SSL/TLS record layer. In order to exploit this issue an application bug would have to be present that resulted in a call to SSL_read()/SSL_write() being issued after having already received a fatal error. OpenSSL version 1.0.2b-1.0.2m are affected. Fixed in OpenSSL 1.0.2n. OpenSSL 1.1.0 is not affected.
VMware ESXi (ESXi 6.5 without patch ESXi650-201707101-SG), Workstation (12.x before 12.5.7) and Fusion (8.x before 8.5.8) contain an out-of-bounds write vulnerability in SVGA device. This issue may allow a guest to execute code on the host.
VMware ESXi (6.5 before ESXi650-201710401-BG), Workstation (12.x before 12.5.8), and Fusion (8.x before 8.5.9) contain a vulnerability that could allow an authenticated VNC session to cause a heap overflow via a specific set of VNC packets resulting in heap corruption. Successful exploitation of this issue could result in remote code execution in a virtual machine via the authenticated VNC session. Note: In order for exploitation to be possible in ESXi, VNC must be manually enabled in a virtual machine's .vmx configuration file. In addition, ESXi must be configured to allow VNC traffic through the built-in firewall.
VMware Workstation (12.x before 12.5.8) and Horizon View Client for Windows (4.x before 4.6.1) contain an out-of-bounds write vulnerability in JPEG2000 parser in the TPView.dll. On Workstation, this may allow a guest to execute code or perform a Denial of Service on the Windows OS that runs Workstation. In the case of a Horizon View Client, this may allow a View desktop to execute code or perform a Denial of Service on the Windows OS that runs the Horizon View Client. Exploitation is only possible if virtual printing has been enabled. This feature is not enabled by default on Workstation but it is enabled by default on Horizon View Client.
