| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
wifi: mt76: mt7996: Fix possible oob access in mt7996_mac_write_txwi_80211()
Check frame length before accessing the mgmt fields in
mt7996_mac_write_txwi_80211 in order to avoid a possible oob access. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
wifi: mt76: Fix possible oob access in mt76_connac2_mac_write_txwi_80211()
Check frame length before accessing the mgmt fields in
mt76_connac2_mac_write_txwi_80211 in order to avoid a possible oob
access.
[fix check to also cover mgmt->u.action.u.addba_req.capab,
correct Fixes tag] |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ALSA: usb-audio: Use correct version for UAC3 header validation
The entry of the validators table for UAC3 AC header descriptor is
defined with the wrong protocol version UAC_VERSION_2, while it should
have been UAC_VERSION_3. This results in the validator never matching
for actual UAC3 devices (protocol == UAC_VERSION_3), causing their
header descriptors to bypass validation entirely. A malicious USB
device presenting a truncated UAC3 header could exploit this to cause
out-of-bounds reads when the driver later accesses unvalidated
descriptor fields.
The bug was introduced in the same commit as the recently fixed UAC3
feature unit sub-type typo, and appears to be from the same copy-paste
error when the UAC3 section was created from the UAC2 section. |
| An out-of-bounds read in the read_global_param() function (libavcodec/av1dec.c) of FFmpeg v8.0.1 allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via a crafted input. |
| jq is a command-line JSON processor. In commits before 2f09060afab23fe9390cce7cb860b10416e1bf5f, the jv_parse_sized() API in libjq accepts a counted buffer with an explicit length parameter, but its error-handling path formats the input buffer using %s in jv_string_fmt(), which reads until a NUL terminator is found rather than respecting the caller-supplied length. This means that when malformed JSON is passed in a non-NUL-terminated buffer, the error construction logic performs an out-of-bounds read past the end of the buffer. The vulnerability is reachable by any libjq consumer calling jv_parse_sized() with untrusted input, and depending on memory layout, can result in memory disclosure or process termination. The issue has been patched in commit 2f09060afab23fe9390cce7cb860b10416e1bf5f. |
| libsixel is a SIXEL encoder/decoder implementation derived from kmiya's sixel. Versions 1.8.7 and prior contain an integer overflow leading to an out-of-bounds heap read in the --crop option handling of img2sixel, where positive coordinates up to INT_MAX are accepted without overflow-safe bounds checking. In sixel_encoder_do_clip(), the expression clip_w + clip_x overflows to a large negative value when clip_x is INT_MAX, causing the bounds guard to be skipped entirely, and the unclamped coordinate is passed through sixel_frame_clip() to clip(), which computes a source pointer far beyond the image buffer and passes it to memmove(). An attacker supplying a specially crafted crop argument with any valid image can trigger an out-of-bounds read in the heap, resulting in a reliable crash and potential information disclosure. This issue has been fixed in version 1.8.7-r1. |
| The date handling code in modules/proxy/proxy_util.c (mod_proxy) in Apache 2.3.0, when using a threaded MPM, allows remote origin servers to cause a denial of service (caching forward proxy process crash) via crafted date headers that trigger a buffer over-read. |
| Cisco Secure Desktop (CSD) does not require that the ClearPageFileAtShutdown (aka CCE-Winv2.0-407) registry value equals 1, which might allow local users to read certain memory pages that were written during another user's SSL VPN session. |
| wp-admin/user-edit.php in WordPress before 2.0.5 allows remote authenticated users to read the metadata of an arbitrary user via a modified user_id parameter. |
| Certain chunk handlers in libpng before 1.0.29 and 1.2.x before 1.2.21 allow remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) via crafted (1) pCAL (png_handle_pCAL), (2) sCAL (png_handle_sCAL), (3) tEXt (png_push_read_tEXt), (4) iTXt (png_handle_iTXt), and (5) ztXT (png_handle_ztXt) chunking in PNG images, which trigger out-of-bounds read operations. |
| The License Logging Server (llssrv.exe) in Microsoft Windows 2000 SP4 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via an RPC message containing a string without a null terminator, which triggers a heap-based buffer overflow in the LlsrLicenseRequestW method, aka "License Logging Server Heap Overflow Vulnerability." |
| An out-of-bounds read was addressed with improved input validation. This issue is fixed in iOS 18.7.2 and iPadOS 18.7.2, iOS 26.1 and iPadOS 26.1, macOS Sequoia 15.7.2, macOS Sonoma 14.8.2, macOS Tahoe 26.1, tvOS 26.1, visionOS 26.1, watchOS 26.1. Processing a maliciously crafted media file may lead to unexpected app termination or corrupt process memory. |
| An out-of-bounds read was addressed with improved input validation. This issue is fixed in macOS Sequoia 15.7.2, macOS Sonoma 14.8.2, macOS Tahoe 26.1. An app may be able to cause unexpected system termination or read kernel memory. |
| A vulnerability was determined in strukturag libheif up to 1.21.2. This affects the function vvdec_push_data2 of the file libheif/plugins/decoder_vvdec.cc of the component HEIF File Parser. Executing a manipulation of the argument size can lead to out-of-bounds read. The attack needs to be launched locally. The exploit has been publicly disclosed and may be utilized. This patch is called b97c8b5f198b27f375127cd597a35f2113544d03. It is advisable to implement a patch to correct this issue. |
