In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: hwmon: (pmbus/adm1266) cap PDIO scan in get_multiple at ADM1266_PDIO_NR adm1266_gpio_get_multiple() iterates the PDIO portion of the caller-supplied mask using for_each_set_bit_from(gpio_nr, mask, ADM1266_GPIO_NR + ADM1266_PDIO_STATUS) { ... } where ADM1266_PDIO_STATUS is the PMBus command code (0xE9, i.e. 233), not the number of PDIO pins. The intended upper bound is ADM1266_GPIO_NR + ADM1266_PDIO_NR = 25. gpiolib hands in a mask sized for gc.ngpio (= 25 bits on this chip), so the iteration walks find_next_bit() up to 242, reading up to 217 extra bits (a handful of unsigned-long words: four on 64-bit, seven on 32-bit) of whatever lives past the end of the mask in the caller's stack. Any incidental set bit in that range then drives a set_bit(gpio_nr, bits) call that writes past the end of the caller-supplied bits array too -- both out-of-bounds. Substitute ADM1266_PDIO_NR for the constant so the scan stops at the last real PDIO bit.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: hwmon: (pmbus/adm1266) bounce blackbox records through a protocol-sized buffer adm1266_pmbus_block_xfer() copies the device-supplied block payload into the caller-provided buffer using the device-supplied length: memcpy(data_r, &msgs[1].buf[1], msgs[1].buf[0]); The helper does not know how large data_r is and trusts the device to return at most one record's worth of bytes. adm1266_nvmem_read_blackbox() violates that contract: it advances read_buff inside data->dev_mem in ADM1266_BLACKBOX_SIZE (64-byte) strides while the helper is willing to write up to ADM1266_PMBUS_BLOCK_MAX (255) bytes. A device that returns more than 64 bytes on the trailing record (read_buff offset 1984 in the 2048-byte dev_mem allocation) overflows dev_mem by up to 191 bytes before the post-call if (ret != ADM1266_BLACKBOX_SIZE) return -EIO; can reject the response. Contain the fix in the caller without changing the helper signature: read each record into a 255-byte local bounce buffer that matches the helper's maximum output, validate the returned length, and only then copy exactly ADM1266_BLACKBOX_SIZE bytes into the dev_mem slot.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfs: Fix streaming write being overwritten In order to avoid reading whilst writing, netfslib will allow "streaming writes" in which dirty data is stored directly into folios without reading them first. Such folios are marked dirty but may not be marked uptodate. If a folio is entirely written by a streaming write, uptodate will be set, otherwise it will have a netfs_folio struct attached to ->private recording the dirty region. In the event that a partially written streaming write page is to be overwritten entirely by a single write(), netfs_perform_write() will try to copy over it, but doesn't discard the netfs_folio if it succeeds; further, it doesn't correctly handle a partial copy that overwrites some of the dirty data. Fix this by the following: (1) If the folio is successfully overwritten, free the netfs_folio struct before marking the page uptodate. (2) If the copy to the folio partially fails, but short of the dirty data, just ignore the copy. (3) If the copy partially fails and overwrites some of the dirty data, accept the copy, update the netfs_folio struct to record the new data. If the folio is now filled, free the netfs_folio and set uptodate, otherwise return a partial write. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: accel/qaic: Add overflow check to remap_pfn_range during mmap The call to remap_pfn_range in qaic_gem_object_mmap is susceptible to (re)mapping beyond the VMA if the BO is too large. This can cause use after free issues when munmap() unmaps only the VMA region and not the additional mappings. To prevent this, check the remaining size of the VMA before remapping and truncate the remapped length if sg->length is too large. [jhugo: fix braces from checkpatch --strict]

mod_auth_openidc is an OpenID Certified authentication and authorization module for the Apache 2.x HTTP server that implements the OpenID Connect Relying Party functionality. Prior to 2.4.19.4, an out-of-bounds read and a one-byte out-of-bounds write exist in the state-cookie parser of `mod_auth_openidc`. The issue is fixed in version 2.4.19.4 by stopping the scan at the string terminator so a value-less token is rejected. No in-product workarounds are available. As a stop-gap, an upstream reverse proxy or WAF that rejects or normalizes malformed `Cookie` headers (tokens lacking `=`) can reduce exposure, but upgrading is the recommended remediation.

Heap-based Buffer Overflow vulnerability in mod_proxy_ajp of Apache HTTP Server. If mod_proxy_ajp connects to a malicious AJP server this AJP server can send a malicious AJP message back to mod_proxy_ajp and cause it to write 4 attacker controlled bytes after the end of a heap based buffer. This issue affects Apache HTTP Server: through 2.4.66. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 2.4.67, which fixes the issue.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ocfs2: fix out-of-bounds write in ocfs2_remove_refcount_extent [BUG] Unlinking a refcounted file whose refcount tree has leaf blocks triggers a fortify panic due to an out-of-bounds write. [CAUSE] When the last leaf block is removed from a refcount tree, ocfs2_remove_refcount_extent() converts the root back to leaf mode with a bulk memset on &rb->rf_records. rf_records sits in an anonymous union with rf_list. rf_list.l_tree_depth aliases rf_records.rl_count, and is 0 for a single-level tree. With rl_count equal to 0, the memset writes past the 16-byte declared size of rf_records, which the fortify checker catches. [FIX] Replace the bulk memset on &rb->rf_records with a correctly-bounded memset on rl_recs[] alone, after setting rl_count to the correct value.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: s390/zcrypt: Fix wrong domain value verification with EP11 CPRBs There is a wrong upper limit check for the domain value when an EP11 CPRB is processed for sending to a crypto card. This check is only active on custom device nodes but may lead to access heap memory behind perms->adm when an administrative CPRB is sent. Add correct limit (AP_DOMAINS = 256) checking to fix this.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: s390/dasd: Fix undersized format-check buffer fmt_buffer_size in dasd_eckd_check_device_format() is declared as int, even though one of the multiplicands, sizeof(struct eckd_count), is a size_t. The expression trkcount * rpt_max * sizeof(struct eckd_count) is therefore correctly evaluated at 64-bit width, but the result is silently truncated when it is stored back into the 32-bit fmt_buffer_size variable. For a sufficiently large track range (start_unit/stop_unit are caller-controlled) this truncation yields a buffer size far smaller than the number of tracks actually requested. kzalloc() then succeeds with an undersized allocation, while the subsequent channel program build still operates on the untruncated track count and writes past the end of that buffer. Compute the buffer size with check_mul_overflow() and keep it in a size_t, so that a value that no longer fits results in -EINVAL instead of a silently truncated allocation size.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: of: reserved_mem: prevent OOB when too many dynamic regions are defined On boot, fdt_scan_reserved_mem() saves each dynamically-placed /reserved-memory subnode into a local array of size MAX_RESERVED_REGIONS. If the device tree defines more than MAX_RESERVED_REGIONS dynamically-placed regions, fdt_scan_reserved_mem() writes past the end of the local array. Add a bounds check that logs an error and skips the excess regions, restoring the original behavior.
