On s390 this can be injected with > zpcictl --reset-fw <BDF> Tests with this patch failed to reproduce that second deadlock situation, the devlink command is rejected with "kernel answers: Permission denied" - and we get a kernel log message of: mlx5_core 1ed0:00:00.1: mlx5_crdump_collect:50:(pid 254382): crdump: failed to lock vsc gw err -5 because the config read of VSC_SEMAPHORE is rejected by the underlying hardware. Two prior attempts to address this issue have been discussed and ultimately rejected [see link], with the primary argument that s390's implementation of PCI error recovery is imposing restrictions that neither powerpc's EEH nor PCI AER handling need. Tests show that PCI error recovery on s390 is running to completion even without blocking access to PCI config space.

PureVPN client applications on Linux through September 2025 mishandle firewalling. They flush the system's existing iptables rules and apply default ACCEPT policies when connecting to a VPN server. This removes firewall rules that may have been configured manually or by other software (e.g., UFW, container engines, or system security policies). Upon VPN disconnect, the original firewall state is not restored. As a result, the system may become unintentionally exposed to network traffic that was previously blocked. This affects CLI 2.0.1 and GUI 2.10.0.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: crypto: comp - Use same definition of context alloc and free ops In commit 42d9f6c77479 ("crypto: acomp - Move scomp stream allocation code into acomp"), the crypto_acomp_streams struct was made to rely on having the alloc_ctx and free_ctx operations defined in the same order as the scomp_alg struct. But in that same commit, the alloc_ctx and free_ctx members of scomp_alg may be randomized by structure layout randomization, since they are contained in a pure ops structure (containing only function pointers). If the pointers within scomp_alg are randomized, but those in crypto_acomp_streams are not, then the order may no longer match. This fixes the problem by removing the union from scomp_alg so that both crypto_acomp_streams and scomp_alg will share the same definition of alloc_ctx and free_ctx, ensuring they will always have the same layout.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tee: fix register_shm_helper() In register_shm_helper(), fix incorrect error handling for a call to iov_iter_extract_pages(). A case is missing for when iov_iter_extract_pages() only got some pages and return a number larger than 0, but not the requested amount. This fixes a possible NULL pointer dereference following a bad input from ioctl(TEE_IOC_SHM_REGISTER) where parts of the buffer isn't mapped.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: smartpqi: Fix device resources accessed after device removal Correct possible race conditions during device removal. Previously, a scheduled work item to reset a LUN could still execute after the device was removed, leading to use-after-free and other resource access issues. This race condition occurs because the abort handler may schedule a LUN reset concurrently with device removal via sdev_destroy(), leading to use-after-free and improper access to freed resources. - Check in the device reset handler if the device is still present in the controller's SCSI device list before running; if not, the reset is skipped. - Cancel any pending TMF work that has not started in sdev_destroy(). - Ensure device freeing in sdev_destroy() is done while holding the LUN reset mutex to avoid races with ongoing resets.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: potential integer overflow in usbg_make_tpg() The variable tpgt in usbg_make_tpg() is defined as unsigned long and is assigned to tpgt->tport_tpgt, which is defined as u16. This may cause an integer overflow when tpgt is greater than USHRT_MAX (65535). I haven't tried to trigger it myself, but it is possible to trigger it by calling usbg_make_tpg() with a large value for tpgt. I modified the type of tpgt to match tpgt->tport_tpgt and adjusted the relevant code accordingly. This patch is similar to commit 59c816c1f24d ("vhost/scsi: potential memory corruption").

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: perf/x86/intel/uncore: Fix reference count leak in snr_uncore_mmio_map() pci_get_device() will increase the reference count for the returned pci_dev, so snr_uncore_get_mc_dev() will return a pci_dev with its reference count increased. We need to call pci_dev_put() to decrease the reference count. Let's add the missing pci_dev_put().

File I/O does not trigger this problem because for filesystems that do not support the FS_LBS feature, sb_set_blocksize() prevents sb->s_blocksize_bits from being larger than PAGE_SHIFT. During inode allocation, alloc_inode()->inode_init_always() assigns inode->i_blkbits from sb->s_blocksize_bits. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: virtio-net: zero unused hash fields When GSO tunnel is negotiated virtio_net_hdr_tnl_from_skb() tries to initialize the tunnel metadata but forget to zero unused rxhash fields. This may leak information to another side. Fixing this by zeroing the unused hash fields.
